I had a miserable cranky baby for days. It's funny how all babies teeth differently. There was Alex who would smile and I'd discover a new pearly white chicklet just like that. With Jack ... oh I know for days and weeks. My poor monkey had a fever for almost three days. He screamed in pain, had rashes and many, many, many stinky diapers. I know what I'm about to say makes me seem like a bad mom but oh well.... "a part of me enjoyed having him sick"(I know I told you I'm sick). My little angel only wanted mama . We cuddled on the couch for a couple of days straight just watched his favorite shows in my arms. We'd read his favourite books. Ever since Jack discovered movement he was .......well always moving. I haven't been able to rock him in my arms, sing a lullaby and have him fast asleep in my arms since he was an infant until this week. I love that he's active because he's ALWAYS discovering the world (one drawer and closet at a time) but I wish I was able to hold him longer. Why do they grow up and need us less so fast?
It killed me to watch him in so much pain but when the Tempra kicked in, once again I was his whole world again. My monkey is doing great and back to his very active self and now sporting two white new molars! As the circle of life ... tooth life ... continues Alex has had a loose tooth all week. He keeps on telling me to buy apples but since Jack almost choked on an apple a couple of weeks ago (see couple posts back) I've boycotted them for a while .... well actually I made an apple compote instead.... and then pureed it again.
We have a winner for the Dreft Giveaway! The lucky winner is comment #166 ....
laundry tip from Dreft--"While it is smart to wash all baby items before and after storing, do not use fabric softener on these items. Fabric softener on children's sleepwear or other garments labeled as flame resistant may reduce flame resistance"
